Hey, y'all! I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. I wanted to share some news with y'all about Brampton Transit. I was just reading on the interwebs that they will be reintroducing fares in July.
Now, I know that might not sound like a big deal to some folks, but for people like me who rely on public transportation, it can be a real burden. Especially during these trying times, when we're all trying to stretch our dollars as far as they can go.
But I also understand that Brampton Transit has to make money to keep the buses running, and I don't want to begrudge anyone their livelihood. I just wish there was some way that we could make public transportation more accessible to everyone.
Maybe we could start a petition or something to get the government to increase funding for public transportation. Or maybe Brampton Transit could consider offering some kind of discount program for low-income riders. I don't know, y'all, I'm just brainstorming here.
In the meantime, I'll be figuring out how to scrape together the extra cash for fares come July. It ain't gonna be easy, but I know I'll manage somehow.
